YUNGBLUD
TURNING CHAOS INTO CONNECTION

An exclusive conversation filled with energy, honesty, and a little rock and roll wisdom

Yungbl.jpg

Before the show even starts, Yungblud walks into the room with the same spark that electrifies his concerts. He sits, laughs, shakes his hair out, and immediately makes you feel like you have known him for years. What follows is a candid and colorful conversation about music, mentors, and the messy beauty of being yourself.

By:  Kreig Marks, January 2026 TRR

Kreig:  You have such high energy onstage. Where does all that fire come from?

Yungblud:  It comes from the crowd. Every time I step onstage I feel like I am being hit with a lightning bolt of emotion. I still feel like a kid who has way too much inside him. The audience brings it out and I just run with it.

Kreig:  Your fans love how open you are. Does being that honest ever scare you?

Yungblud:  All the time. It is like walking through a busy street holding your heart in your hands. It is scary, but it is also freeing. People need honesty now. I think that is why we connect.

Kreig:  Your sound blends punk, pop, rock and glam. Where does that mix come from?

Yungblud:  My family’s music taste was all over the place. My mum blasted pop in the kitchen. My dad filled the car with old rock records. I never wanted to choose. I wanted all of it in one place.

Kreig:  You had a special bond with Ozzy Osbourne. What was that relationship like?

Yungblud:  Ozzy was like the coolest wild uncle on the planet. He was hilarious and completely himself. He told me to stay true to who I am and I carry that everywhere.

Kreig:  And Steven Tyler? That is another massive figure in your life.

Yungblud:  Steven is rock and roll in human form. He gives the best hugs. Then he gives you advice that keeps echoing in your brain for months. He always tells me to keep my voice honest. I love that.

Kreig:  What is one piece of advice from them that stuck with you the most?

Yungblud:  Ozzy said the world will try to tame you, but you have to decide if you let it. Steven said sing like you have something to prove every time. I think about both of those a lot.

Kreig:  You support so many fans emotionally. How do you take care of your own mental well-being?

Yungblud:  I talk to people I trust. I write everything down so it stops bouncing around in my head. I try to stay present even when life gets loud. It is something I keep learning.

Kreig:  What is one thing you never travel without when you are on tour?

Yungblud:  Tea. An absurd amount of tea. And a notebook. Lyrics hit me when I least expect it, usually when I am in an airport queue or sitting on the floor of a hotel room.

Kreig:  If you were not a musician, what would you be doing?

Yungblud:  Honestly, probably causing trouble in some art studio. Maybe painting. Maybe tattooing. Anything that lets me make a mess and call it expression.

Kreig:  What is a song of yours that changed your life?

Yungblud:  “Parents.”

Kreig:  Parents?  I wasn't expecting that one.  But, go on.

Yungblud:  That song opened a door I did not even know existed. It connected with people in a way that felt like a giant collective breath.

Kreig:  What is the weirdest gift a fan has ever given you?

Yungblud:  Someone handed me a rubber duck painted to look exactly like me. Pink hair and everything. It still sits proudly in my bathroom.

Kreig:  What can fans look forward to next?

Yungblud:   Well, obviously, the album with Aerosmith.  That was so much fun.  Definitely a dream come true and a bucketlist moment. More truth, more noise, and more community. I am writing a lot right now. I want to push the sound forward but keep the heart exactly where it has always been.
