Here is what has been happening in my music world this past month. My first show of the month was Chicago at Symphony Hall. This beautiful hall was packed with people of all ages singing along and dancing to their favorite Chicago tunes. The light show was spectacular and the band was incredible. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot the entire 2 and 1/2 hour show. They ended the show with 2 on-cores.
Next up was LA’s Backstage Pass returning to MGM Casino in Springfield. They opened up the Free Music Friday series for MGM. The live concerts were moved inside to the ARIA Ballroom. Opening with a fan favorite “Don’t Need Nothing But A Good Time”, Jonny James and the boys partied with the crowd the entire evening.
The following Friday was an evening with Beyond Purple. If you like Deep Purple, Whitesnake, DIO and Rainbow, you will love this band! It is a treat being able to see Jimi Bell play, but he has something special with this group of guys. Mike Gill is an insanely talented vocalist and is fierce when performing on stage. If you get the chance to hit one of their shows, do it. You will not be disappointed!
The last show of this month at MGM was an absolute blast. Raise Your Hands is a Tribute to Bon Jovi. It was my second time seeing them and I am a HUGE fan! Lead vocalist TJ Simkewicz (Jon Bon Jovi) had the packed house screaming from the first note! Nano Sciucco (Richie Sambora) had the ladies in the crowd pushing their way to the front of the stage. David Chirico (Hugh McDonald) is one of the coolest bass players I have ever seen! Chris James (David Bryan) on the keyboards with some stellar playing and my guy Rob Del Pomo (Tico Torres) on drums beating life into every song they performed. This band is by far one of the best tribute bands I have ever seen. They will be performing at the Wolf’s Den at Mohegan Sun Casino in early December. If you are in Connecticut, don’t miss it!!!!!
This month I am excited to see Brendan Clark and the Dead Man Band….. One should never miss an opportunity to see this phenom play his guitar. Have a great month, get out there and support your musicians.
