Echo 2 Locate has found their heart and sound within their music

This Alternative rock band from Maryland carries a lot of emotion in their music.  As their lyrics say on their website; "We strive to bring those who feel alone, a place where they can feel at home."  Good words to live by.  Words of strength.

TRR:  Hi guys.  First-off, congratulations with your recent signing with TAG Publicity.  That’s a great organization there, very professional and family oriented.  So, what is the origin of your band’s name?  Is this the original name or have you changed it before?

Rhiannon Neagle:  Thank you.  The band’s name has always been and will always be Echo 2 Locate. The name came from the word echolocation. We decided to play off of it and came up with Echo 2 Locate.  For us, it means that whenever you feel lost or you’re trying to find yourself and where your heart resides, to just listen for the sound to guide you. The number 2 represents how the band started with just me and Mike, and how we were determined to make our dreams a reality.

TRR:  Who are the players?

Rhiannon Neagle: Vocalist/rhythm guitarist

Mike Pritchett: Drummer

Will Servary: Bassist

Clarke Hildreth: Lead guitarist

TRR:  How did all of you meet?  Is there an interesting story behind it?

RN:  I met Mike after auditioning and being accepted into a band that he had been in. After Mike and I left the band to create Echo 2 Locate, we went through auditioning people and eventually came across Clarke and Will off of Bandmix.

TRR:  How would you classify your music?

WS: Alternative Rock.

CH:  All four of us bring different things to the table, which naturally gives us a unique sound.  As a result, our music has many influences ranging from Alternative rock, to Pop-Punk, Grunge, etc.

TRR:  If you weren’t in a band, what do you think you’d be doing instead?   Do you see yourselves doing anything but music?

RN: The only other thing I would do is probably something in paleontology and live an unfulfilled life. Music is everything to me so I wouldn’t do anything else.

TRR:  Who are some of your musical influences?

MP: Killswitch Engage, MXPX, Slick Shoes

CH:  Green Day, Blink-182, Sum 41, The Police

TRR:  What do you think makes your band stand out from others?

MP: Our live shows. We work together to make every show unforgettable.

TRR:  What other bands would you like to tour with?

WS: Green Day, Highly Suspect, Nothing More, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Sick Puppies (real sick puppies, not the band). I’m joking but I’m not. Take care of animals kids.(laughing)

TRR:  What is your most memorable show?

MP: For me it would have to be the show where we opened up for One Eyed Doll and Dollskin because that was the first time we ever opened for a national act.

TRR:  What has been your craziest fan interaction?

CH:  We were playing a show with Stacked Like Pancakes, and at the very front of the crowd was a little kid jumping and going all out.  He was going harder than a lot of the older people surrounding him. So, in the middle of the show, I complimented him and threw him a guitar pick.  The kid was really happy, and after the show he found me so that he could take a picture with me.

TRR:   What’s on the table for the rest of the year?

RN: We plan to record our very first album, play new shows, release new singles and music videos. This year is going to be RAD for Echo 2 Locate.

TRR:  Anyone you’d like to give a shout out to or thank you to?

RN: We want to thank every single person who has helped us along in this journey! That includes, all our fans, anybody who has supported us in any way, all other bands we have played shows with, and all the people we have worked with.
