TRR:  Brett.  I know you've been in the music scene since you were in high school and started out doing covers.  Now that you're doing originals, is it really all or nothing.  Do you take that name to heart?

Brett Carlisle (BC):  Yeah, it's been an evolving thing for me since high school. We’d been playing covers to make a name for ourselves and have had a couple of lineup changes over the years. Now that we're releasing our music, the name All or Nothing came from our mindset to take over the world!   And, that's the plan.

TRR:  Introduce our readers and your new fans to the band.

Brett Carlisle - Singer/guitar

Jacob Mann - Lead guitar/vocals

Reagan Hall - Drums/vocals

Ian Smith - Bass/vocals

TRR:  How did all of you meet?

BC:  We met through friends, friends of friends, and playing in other bands together. We all have the same ambitions and knew we have something really unique. The hardest part about being in a band is finding members that are all dedicated, and on the same page. Once you find that, everything else seems to fall into place because it doesn't feel like work.

TRR:  How would you classify your music genre?

BC:  That's tricky. We all listen to so many different genres. We like taking different aspects of rock, metal, and blues, and whatever else the song calls for, to be the best we can make it. We don't want to put ourselves in a box- because we've got so many Ideas, but most people say New Hair Metal because we've kept the roots of what we grew up with.

TRR:  If you weren’t in a band, what do you think you’d be doing instead?

Jacob: I'd get a “normal job. Nothing specific.

Reagan: I'd be in the Marsoc Marines.

Ian: I'd be doing military or chemical engineering for defense contractors. I'm in school now for chemistry.

Brett:  I've always wanted to own a clothing line. Once we get a manager and a booking agent and some of the weight is off, I would love to put more time into it. Things are growing so fast it's like a full time job for me. This is getting out of hand, ha.

TRR:  Welcome to the rock n roll world!  It's never going to be easy.  Who are some of your musical influences?

Reagan: Luke Holland and The Rev from Avenged Sevenfold and Rich Redmond

Ian: Synyster Gates for his guitar playing and Jason Newstead from Metallica for his aggressive picking style.

Jacob: Steve Vai and George Lynch and Satchel from Steel Panther

Brett: Sebastian Bach from Skid Row and Michael Start from Steel Panther

TRR:  Who are your fans?

BC:  We've always planned on having a very broad fan base and it's working so well! Most of them are our parents age. They think what we're doing is cool because they say it's been so long since they've seen a band with the energy we have, because of our 80's influences. Because of our original music, we've started seeing a big wave of kids and younger people too. What we're doing is catching on like wild fire! You can see Rock 'n Roll coming back in movies, fashion, and music. It's starting to be mainstream again and we want to be the band that makes this new decade something really special!

TRR:  What other bands would you like to tour with?

BC:  Steel Panther, Motley Crue, Guns n Roses and if we could build a time machine Skid Row, Pantera and Van Halen back in the day.  Post Malone and Snoop would be sick too!

TRR:  How do you write your songs?  Is it collaborative?

BC:  Yes. Usually Me and Jacob will start on something, then we’ll all get in on it. We work through and rewrite our songs down to every note and drum fill, to make sure we’re satisfied and excited about them. We try so many ideas, we never know what they will turn into.

TRR:  What was it like the first time all of you performed together for the first time?

BC:  With our current lineup it was a sold out show at Mercury Ballroom in Louisville, KY, in front of 1,000 people, with Thunderstruck (AC/DC Tribute band) and it was SICK!! The energy was insane. The crowd was wild.

TRR:  What is your most memorable show?

BC:  Pucketts in Liepers Fork, Tennessee 1/3/20. We said 2020 was going to be our year and January 3rd will be a night we will always remember! We have played at Pucketts before, but on this night, Vince Neil from Mötley Crüe reserved the table front and center to see us. We had friends and family from 9 different states come out to see us. There was even somebody who flew from France for the show that night, and one of our best friends William Blake opened up the show for us. We ended up doing 6 encore songs (if I can remember correctly) and stayed up all night hanging out with William Blake, Johnny Galecki and Josh and Joey from Bad Flower. They’re all some of the coolest guys you’ll ever meet. That was a night we’ll never forget. When the sun was coming up and it was time to drive back to Birmingham, on our air mattress in the back of a U-Haul cargo van, with all of our equipment. We couldn’t help but wonder what else was in store in 2020.

TRR:  Do you guys have those wild shows ever,  where everything that could possibly go wrong does?

BC:  Every single show is an adventure. Something is usually lost or broken, and just when we think we’re in the clear, Jacob is hell on strings and has broken 4 in a night before. We’re always on our toes.

TRR:  What’s on the table for 2020?

BC:  I’m answering these things from the studio. Some new releases and a ton of new dates. Like us on Facebook, and follow us on Instagram @officialallornothing to see our adventures and  what’s going on!

TRR:  Is there anyone you’d like to give a shout out to or thank you to?

BC:  All of our parents for being so supportive, Heather Langley, Daddy Kip, William Blake, Laidee Jae, Allan and Robyn, Kylie Morris, Kevin Langley, everyone that has given us a place to stay, and everyone at home that's been there since day one.
